Coming to The Clearing

Estate planning.

Medicare is rarely a conversation about Medicare. It is a conversation about getting old, getting sick, and what happens after. The forms ask about beneficiaries. The advisors ask about trusts. The doctors ask about advance directives. The questions arrive whether you are ready or not.

We are building a room for the planning part. It is not ready yet.

What this room will hold

  • Plain-English orientation to the documents — will, living will, health-care proxy, durable power of attorney, beneficiary designations
  • The conversations these documents are meant to have for you, in the order they actually come up
  • State-by-state differences (because estate law is state law)
  • The relationship to Medicare timing — what gets easier when you do this first, what gets harder when you wait
  • Same trust architecture: no upsells, no quiet referral economy

Why not now

Estate planning intersects with law. Saying anything specific requires being careful about where general information ends and legal advice begins. We want to build this room with the same care the rest of The Clearing was built with. That takes time.

If you are starting to think about wills, advance directives, or what happens after — we want to know what you have been wrestling with. What you wish someone had told you sooner.

We are not setting a launch date for this room. Founding Circle members will see it open first.
