Founding membership

A calmer place to work through Medicare — for as long as you need it.

Membership in The Clearing: a guided cadence, a steady companion, and the room to think clearly.

Plan-neutral · Independent · No commissions · Member-funded

Everything you need to work through Medicare — in one calm place.

A cadence, not a one-and-done.

Medicare isn't decided once and forgotten. Plans change. Your situation changes. Every fall the enrollment windows reopen. The Clearing holds the rhythm for you — monthly check-ins, quarterly reviews, and a steady hand at every window — so you're ahead of changes, not catching up to them.

Guides & worksheets

Plain-language guides, worksheets, and the Take Your Time book — yours to keep, yours to use at your pace.

Decision Maps & tools

Visual maps that show how the pieces fit. Tools that turn confusion into a list of clear next steps.

Fern — your personal Medicare guide

A guide who works with your situation, not a brochure that recites the rules. Fern asks the follow-up questions you didn't know to ask, helps you organize what matters, and prepares you to decide — without ever pushing a plan.

What Fern does

What Fern does.

Three things, well — the affirmative side of the trust contract.

1

Fern audits your situation — your doctors, your prescriptions, the real math of a hard year.

Not a generic survey. A structured walkthrough that surfaces what matters for your decision, in your words. The audit is the work.

2

Fern surfaces the questions you didn't know to ask.

A doctor you've seen for years who isn't in the network. A prescription that's covered now but won't be next year. Retiree coverage that quietly changes your enrollment window. Fern catches what a brochure can't, then helps you take those questions to the right person — your employer, a benefits administrator, an agent when you choose one.

3

Fern prepares you to decide — it doesn't decide for you.

When the decision is in front of you, Fern hands you a clear picture of what you know, what you still need to verify, and the trade-offs the choice carries. You make the call. Fern makes the call legible.

What Fern won't do

What Fern won't do.

Three non-negotiable rules — the guardrails that make the rest possible.

1

Fern never recommends a specific carrier or plan name.

Plans change every year. The right answer for you depends on your situation, your doctors, your prescriptions — not on what's earning a commission this week.

2

Fern's analysis is driven by your data — not by any carrier's incentive.

No referral fees. No partnerships. No "preferred" plans. The reasoning you see is built from your inputs, full stop.

3

Fern's workspace has no ads, no enrollment buttons, no carrier logos.

Just your work, your notes, and your map. The dashboard is yours, not a marketplace.

We help you prepare. We do not choose for you.

Membership is for active Medicare moments.

The Clearing is built for the moments where the decision is in front of you — or in front of someone you love.

Turning 65

The window is open.

Original Medicare, supplements, drug coverage — and the trade-offs nobody warned you about.

Just learning you need coverage

A calm, ordered path.

Maybe you delayed. Maybe you're newly eligible. Either way: an ordered path through what to choose and when.

Helping a parent or spouse

The caregiver's view.

Your membership covers your household — the person making the decision and the person being decided for.

Already on Medicare

When something isn't working.

A denial, a gap, a switch you're considering. The cadence helps here too — full coverage, or a claim that got turned down.

From a member using Fern

Fern asked the follow-up questions I didn't know to ask. It helped me slow down, understand what mattered, and know what to verify before making a decision.

Straight answers.

What exactly do I get?

Membership includes the guided cadence, the Take Your Time book, plain-language guides and worksheets, the Decision Maps and tools, Fern (your personal Medicare guide), and saved progress across visits.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Self-serve from your account. No phone calls, no retention scripts.

What's your refund policy?

Because membership grants immediate access to proprietary content and to Fern, we're not able to extend refunds. That said, we know circumstances can be genuinely unique. We'll consider those by email request only — write to and state your cause in detail and specifics.

Does membership cover my spouse or the parent I'm helping?

Yes. One household = one membership. The caregiver and the person being helped are covered together.

Will Fern recommend a specific plan?

No. Fern never names a carrier or plan. Fern helps you build the framework so you can choose. (See Fern's three rules above.)

What does "founding rate" lock in?

The founding rate is the price you pay for as long as your membership stays active. If we raise prices later, your rate doesn't change.

Before you join, here are the terms — plainly.

No buried fine print. Everything you're agreeing to, in plain language.

The Clearing is plan-neutral and independent. We don't sell insurance, recommend specific plans, or accept commissions from carriers. The Program is member-funded.
